What a before-school nanny does
Morning cover usually runs from about 7am until the school or nursery drop-off. Your before-school nanny makes breakfast, gets everyone dressed, checks PE kit and homework are packed, and gets the children to school on time. Ours are sporty, so the walk to school is a chance to get moving before the school day starts.
Before-school nanny or breakfast club?
A breakfast club looks after a group at school from a set opening time. A before-school nanny comes to your home, so the children start the day there, can be taken to different schools, and you can leave for work early knowing someone is with them.
Before and after school care from one nanny
If you also need help after school, the same nanny can come back for pick-up, homework, clubs and dinner until you're home. It's the most common way London families combine part-time nanny hours into one regular role, booked term by term.

- Yes. Many families book the same nanny for the morning drop-off and the afternoon pick-up, which gives you before and after school care from one familiar face.
