How we match you

Our dedicated team sends a same-day shortlist of 2–3 locally based candidates, arranges a trial afternoon before you commit, then checks in weekly for the first month. Your nanny is booked term by term, and if they're ever unwell we source cover from our standby pool.

  • Enthusiastic role models who promote healthy habits through sport and active play
  • Flexible for families who don't need full-time care but still want consistency
  • Enhanced DBS, First Aid, verified references and in-depth interviews
  • Lives within 30 minutes of your home, so they're on time

Before school, after school, or both

Morning cover usually runs from about 7am: breakfast, getting dressed and the walk or drive to school. Afternoon cover starts at pick-up and runs until you're home, often 3pm–7pm. Many families book both on the days they leave early and get back late, so the children see one familiar face either side of school.

School run nanny or breakfast and after-school club?

Breakfast and after-school clubs look after a group at school between set times. A school run nanny works for your family only: the children start and end the day at home, can be collected from different schools, and can be taken to their own clubs and training.

Common questions

What is a school run nanny?
A nanny who takes your children to school or nursery in the morning, collects them in the afternoon, or both. Afternoons usually carry on at home with a snack, homework, clubs and dinner until you're back.
Can one nanny do the morning drop-off and the afternoon pick-up?
Yes. That's before and after school care, sometimes called wrap-around care, from one nanny on the same days each week in term time.
How much does a school run nanny cost?
Nanny pay is £15–£20 gross an hour depending on experience, for the hours worked. Membership for regular cover is from £50 a month plus VAT for one day a week.
Can a school run nanny collect from two different schools?
Yes, as long as the timings work. Tell us both schools and finish times and we'll match a nanny who lives nearby and can plan the route.
Can the nanny drive to school and clubs?
Some of our nannies drive. Tell us if you need a driver and whether they'll use your car or their own, and we'll include it in the match.
What if the nanny is ill on a school day?
Backup care is included in membership, and we reply within 30 minutes, 7 days a week, when you need cover.
How are your nannies vetted?
Every carer has an Enhanced DBS check, First Aid, verified references, ID and Right to Work checks, and a face-to-face interview with us before they meet your family.
